It is with much sadness I have to report that Colin passed away this morning (25^th April 2013).

May our thoughts be with his family at this very sad time and may he rest in peace.

Colin's funeral is to be held on Friday 10th May at 11.15am at the Croydon Crematorium, Thornton Rd, Thornton Heath, Croydon, Surrey.
There will be a collection box in the crematorium and at the undertakers, for Sussex Air Ambulance (in preference to flowers).

Spring Fly-In 2013

The committee has inspected the flying field and, with disappointment, has come to the decision that the Spring Fly-In is cancelled, due to the waterlogged condition of the ground.

Having many vehicles driven over the field, and parked on it, would likely cause considerable damage, and cars and caravans might get stuck. It is not appropriate to risk day-to-day flying for members by damaging the field.

As you know, there is a current restricted that vehicles must not be brought onto the field at all, except on and to the south of the hardcore track. This restriction must continue until further notice.

We are currently in dialogue with our grass cutting contractor to assess when it is best to cut the grass on the runway and pit areas.
